6th croatian congress on Alzheimer´s Disease in Primosten, Croatia

Again, the Alzheimer Disease Societies Croatia invited numerous national and international speakers, with the intention to present the newest scientific knowledge in the field of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and other dementia. As in the last Congress, we will ensure simultaneous translation (from English to Croatian) of invited speakers' lectures, which will surely contribute to greater interaction between all participants. Along with the clinical and basic topics in the AD area, we will pay special attention to those related to patients and care givers.

Alzheimer’s disease is one of the most important health challenges worldwide. This year’s Kuopio Alzheimer Symposium will once again bring together the current leaders involved in clinical trials and provide a forum for new ideas for future research and subsequently for treatment and prevention options. The First Kuopio Alzheimer Symposium was held in January of 1999 in freezing temperatures. This time we decided to fulfill the wish of many of you to organize the meeting in the summer to provide you also an opportunity to experience the Finnish summer and the midnight sun.

The major focus of the 2012 Stockholm meeting will be on new targets and drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
